Herbal Remedies are an extremely popular and important
alternative health care choice.
You'll find an index of herbs presented
within this site below. You can also visit the
Health page
to look up natural remedies for symptoms and illnesses by name.
Please
be sure to read the "Important
Precautions" regarding the use of medicinal herbs and know that it is
always advisable to check with your doctor before beginning any program of
nutritional, supplemental or physical activity change.
Once you have
learned about herbs and wonder where to get them (since we don't sell them
here), you can check out this
page. |
St. John's Wort is
used as an alternative treatment of mild depression, Black Cohosh for
menopause, Chasteberry for PMS, Stevia for diabetes, fenugreek and garlic for
high cholesterol, chamomile for sleep problems, Kava Kava for anxiety, Cleavers
and Meadowsweet for arthritis, and so on.
The general consensus to
taking herbs to correct a health problem is that it will take a month of
consistent herbal use to correct one year of the time you've had the
problem. If you're working on a problem you've had for 3 years, give
it 3 months to correct itself. This is obviously just a guideline,
but it does tend to put a bit of perspective into the use of herbs. They
are not magic pills.
