FenugreekFenugreek has the same odor as celery but a more bitter flavor. Popular as a tisane (tea), it is also used in many African dishes. It constitutes one of the main ingredients of curries and is the base of artificial maple flavor. Trigonella-Foenum graeca, which grows to 1 to 2 feet, needs well drained loam. RECIPE: An interesting beverage with the fresh or dried leaves. 1/2 to 1 Tablespoon of fresh fenugreek 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon dried Steep 3 to 10 minutes in water bruoght to a rolling boil.
